Silver Solidarity
التضامن الفضي
Growing up in Gaza, Ibrahim Muhtadi wore his keffiyeh naturally, deeply connected to his identity and spirit. But after being displaced due to the ongoing war—first to Cairo and later to Belgium—he began to see the keffiyeh in a new light. Across different places, people from all walks of life wore it as a powerful symbol of solidarity with Palestine. What was once a local tradition had evolved into a universal statement of support, a way to stand together and wear Palestinian heritage with pride.
This inspired Muhtadi to translate the wave pattern into a contemporary piece of jewelry. The delicate choker wraps around the neck, while the accompanying earrings echo the keffiyeh’s iconic fishnet pattern. Each piece is handcrafted by Muhtadi in sterling silver, adorned with hanging black cotton tassels that complement the set’s elegant yet meaningful design.
Together, they embody a deep connection to Palestinian identity while offering a refined expression of resistance, solidarity, and unity.
